FAQ

Can therapy help me?
Therapy can help if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, even if you can’t fully explain why. It provides a space to slow down, understand your thoughts and emotions, and explore patterns that affect your well- being or relationships. You can learn tools to manage stress, cope with difficult emotions, set boundaries, and respond more intentionally to challenges. Many find therapy helpful during transitions, loss, or when past experiences influence the present. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. If you’re curious about yourself, seeking clarity, or supporting change, therapy can be a meaningful step.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
The duration of therapy varies from person to person, as each person brings unique experiences, needs, and goals into the therapeutic space. Some clients attend therapy for a few months, while others continue for a longer period. The length of therapy depends on several factors,
Including current stressors, past experiences or trauma, available resources (such as self-care practices, coping skills, and support systems), and individual goals for therapy. Progress also depends on one’s willingness and ability to engage in the therapeutic process, which at times may feel uncomfortable, both during sessions and between sessions.
How often will we meet?
This will depend on both your availability and mine. Typically, clients meet weekly or every other week at the beginning and then meet less often. I will support whatever frequency works best for you.
How do I prepare for my first session?
After scheduling a session, you will receive an email with access to the client portal to complete the initial paperwork. Please complete all forms at least 48 hours before your appointment. You will then receive a link to join. Once the paperwork is complete, no further action is required.
